PETERSEN MEDIA- Over the weekend, Aaron Reutzel got his Rookie campaign with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series underway as he picked up a sixth-place finish during Friday night’s opener before charging from 25th to 10th during Sunday’s feature.
“We are getting really close to where we want to be,” Aaron Reutzel said. “We just have to find a little more consistency, but I’m still happy with how things have gone so far in these first few races.”
While the first two nights of the DIRTCar Nationals and Volusia Speedway Park ran under All Star Circuit of Champions sanction, Reutzel and Roth Motorsports would take advantage of the final two ‘preseason’ races of the season as the team picked up 12th and 16th place finishes.
Looking to get his first crack at the full World of Outlaws season started off on a good note, Reutzel came out strong as he timed the Roth Enterprises/Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co./HR Livestock Transportation backed No. 83 entry in third fastest in time trials.
Lining up on the pole of his heat race, Reutzel would cash in on the prime starting position as he would pick up the win and transfer into the DirtVision Fast Pass Dash, as well as into the feature event.
